Jesus from the very start made it clear, that he came into the world, but he was not of the world. He was clear that he would be hated by more people of the world, than truely loved. It is no question, that in spite of such understanding and awareness, he pushed on, to his death, on the cross, where he was crucified, and rose again, as promised, on the third day. Now the question is not, of what, Christ, the Savior, will do next. We are taught, after the resurrection, the remaining days he spent, giving final instructions to his disciples, appearing to many, and attempting to instill faith in others, of whom, had seen much, but still didn't believe, and then the journey back home to sit beside his Father in heaven. The question is, what will happen, in the world, to the disciples, to his enter circle, and what of the Pharisees, lawyers, publicans, and sinners, since now, Christ, the savior, the redeemer, teacher, and so much more, is MIA?

Guiding Question:The death and the resurrection of Christ, did it change the disposition of the numerous stakeholders of this journey of Jesus?

The Lesson Review and Lesson Learned

The Promise of a New Heaven and a New Earth. There is a clear promise of the new heaven and the new earth, but the appointed time have not been revealed, and only the Father himself knows of that time. The believer has an obligation to wait on the promise, in faith, without wavering, but quickly, it is apparent, the world is still the same and waiting could become very difficult to the believer. There is fighting and warring, amongst the people in the world, and continued war within their own members. For example, the tongue, James describes the destruction of the tongue. And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and is set on fire of hell. (James 3:6) Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us. (Hebrew 12:1) Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, (2 Peter 1:2) According as his devine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that called us to glory and virtue: (2 Peter 1:3) Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the devine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. (2 Peter 1:4) And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge. (2 Peter 1:5) And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; (2 Peter 1:6) And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. (2 Peter 1:7) For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. (2 Peter 1:8) But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afair off, and hath forgotten that he is purged from his old sins (2 Peter 1:9)

Lesson Summary

The aftermath of the resurrection. In the life of the believer, the resurrection should have been, the utimate miracles, the one that sealed the permanent and lasting belief that Jesus was indeed, the Christ, the true and living God. God was perplexed at the lack of belief in those that had been eyes witness, to many miracles and wonders. Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. (Hebrew 10:22) Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) (Hebrew 10:23) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrew 11:1) The deposition of every man faith, it is hidden with the heart of that individual, and within the judgment of God. God can judge, where no man can. There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another? (James 4:12) From when come wars and fighting among you? Come they not hence, even the lusts that war in your members? (James 4:1)
